Brodie established Coops Electrics in 2017 and added Coops Solar to our range of services in 2022. Brodie has been a qualified and experienced electrician since 2010, offering clients over 15 years of industry trade experience. Coops Electrics & Solar specialise in a range of electrical services for residences and commercial properties, from simple electrical repairs and installation to major upgrades, entire building cabling and more.
Working on a new electrical installation and getting to see the desired results as intended at the end offers a great sense of achievement, seeing customers’ excited reactions to a job well done. We have built a close-knit team at Coops Electrics & Solar, taking great pride in our team ethos and having a huge passion for electrical problem solving. Working with my family, my wife and see our two young children grow gives me a great sense of pride.
Maddison Cooper | Co-Owner & Manager
Maddison previously worked in administration, focusing on the day-to-day organisation of the business but am now overseeing business operations whilst on maternity leave with my second son.
I completed the administrative tasks for Coops Electrics before and after work and on weekends whilst working as a primary school teacher. As the business grew, I worked an additional two full days until I went on maternity leave, and we had the capacity to employee a full time administration employee. Working with my husband and our team. I also enjoy implementing systems and routines to improve and expand our business.
The skills that I have built as a primary school teacher that I have transferred into running and growing our business include organization and time management, planning and problem solving.
We have two sons Finn (3) and Ezra (6 months) and one dog (Layla).
Ben Philip Rivett | Electrical Tradesperson
Ben joins Coops Electrics & Solar with over six years’ experience in the industry, working on commercial, residential and solar electrical installations. Over the years Ben has been crucial with the electrical elements and installation onsite hospitals, vet clinics, hotels, airports, restaurants, marine vessels and residential properties.
An average day is working on a variety of new installations, repair work, fault finding and then you have the advanced installations and cabling of entire buildings, which is of the more challenging aspects in electrical work. Electricians need to be adept with the physical aspects of our trade, such as working in extreme heat inside ceilings or on top of rooves in summer, including lifting many heavy materials. In addition, the challenges of dealing with unexpected design flaws with equipment or running cables through and around an existing building often requires some creative thinking.
Lindsay Leonard | Administrator
Lindsay is Coops Electrics & Solar’s expert Administrator, overseeing our accounts, administration and customer service processes, often the first point of contact when you call our office.
Lindsay will assist our electrical trade with scheduling and compliance, ensuring our stock take is always managed efficiently and the smooth operation of our team.
Bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise in running the administration and accounts department, ensuring our creditors are paid and running our staff payroll, Lindsay is a crucial member of our team and offers friendly customer service to everyone she meets.
We love our team at Coops, working with the directors and electricians keeps our team morale positive.
